It was an honor to have our Chief Customer Experience Officer moderating a thought-provoking panel discussion on “Understanding the African Consumer” at the Africa CX Leaders Forum in Kigali, Rwanda held from 11-12 September, 2025.

The discussion explored what makes African consumers unique…the cultural influences, expectations and socio-economic forces that shape their choices. The conversation highlighted how community, trust and innovation remain central to how consumers across the continent engage with brands.

Looking ahead, the African consumer of tomorrow will be young, tech-savvy and driven by values. They will not just be seeking convenience and personalization, but will want to associate with brands that contribute to social progress and not just profits.

Businesses that anticipate these shifts and design their business & CX strategy with the African context in mind will be best positioned to win.
